Solidarity Fundraising for Land Defence and #NoDAPL (2016)
I hope you are able to join me on Saturday November 26th @ Re:Bodies’ fundraising event as part of, and in solidarity with, anti-colonial resistance. I will be tabling my artwork alongside inspiring artists, artisans and healers. I will also have copies of Certain Days: The 2017 Freedom for Political Prisoners Calendar (Sustaining Movements)!
Re:bodies invites you to a saturday of craft, healing, silent auctions, raffles and a donation drive! Join us in providing funding support to local land defenders to continue their development of resources for Indigenous sovereigntist and anti-colonial struggles.
Re:BODIES dedicates this event to the wellbeing and bodily sovereignty of indigenous womxn & 2spirit people, and the defense of their traditional territories and life sustained by those territories. Re:bodies acknowledges health of body and land as inseparable, and survival as a form of anti-colonial resistance.
Donations will be going to the Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal/Foyer Pour Femmes and the 2spirit warriors situated at the Red Warrior Camp in Standing Rock. To learn more about this fundraising series and our mandate: https://www.facebook.com/events/1174591945959471/
